The rough hours, under your brand
Your clients and students trade straight through US announcements every week, and most of them do not know which hours are the rough ones. We measure exactly that, market by market, and you can send it under your own name every Sunday.
What the numbers look like
| First hour after | EUR/USD | USD/ZAR | Gold | Releases |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fed decision | 5.5x · 98% | 4.5x · 96% | 4.9x · 100% | 45 |
| Jobs report | 2.4x · 91% | 2.1x · 89% | 2.4x · 94% | about 95 |
| Inflation (CPI) | 2.2x · 75% | 2.0x · 70% | 2.1x · 81% | about 95 |
The first 60 minutes after each release, on one minute prices, against the same clock hour on a fixed set of 120 ordinary weekdays: how big the range was, then how often it beat three quarters of ordinary hours. An announcement that did nothing would score 25%. Monthly announcements since 2018 and Fed decisions since 2021, as of the 28 October 2026 briefing. GBP/USD and USD/JPY are measured too. Nothing here says which way the price went.

Why it fits a broker or an academy
Risk awareness, not signals
It tells people when to be careful, never which way to trade. That supports a responsible trading message instead of competing with it.
Checked, not claimed
Every finding carries the odds of it being luck, and is tested on older and recent releases separately. When a pattern fades, the brief says so.
Built for South African traders
SA times by default, with the rand measured directly, which the big international calendars do not offer.
Nothing to build
Ready every Sunday evening as email ready HTML and a PDF, in your branding and for the markets your clients actually trade.
Three ways to work together

| What it is | The weekly brief for your clients, marked “Powered by When Markets Move” | The same brief in your name, your colours and your markets | A one page brief for your dealing or trading desk |
| Best for | Trying it with minimal effort | Client education and retention | Staffing and spread planning around releases |
| Fee | Monthly, by audience size | Monthly, by audience size | Monthly, per desk |
Start with a four week pilot. We set it up for your markets and your clients’ time zone at an agreed pilot fee, you send it or just read it, and if it earns its place it carries on monthly.
Questions
Does it give trading signals?
No. It measures how rough each hour has been, never which way the price went. We tested simple rules that try to profit from these hours and none made money after costs, which is why the brief never makes calls.
Which markets does it cover?
The first hour is measured for EUR/USD, USD/ZAR, GBP/USD, USD/JPY and gold, plus a daily view across stocks, bonds and the dollar. Tell us which markets your clients trade and the brief is built around those.
Can it match the prices on our own platform?
Ask us. For brokers we can look at measuring the hours on your own price history, so the numbers line up with what your clients see.
How is the method checked?
Each release hour is compared with the same clock hour on ordinary weekdays that are fixed in advance, so week to week numbers stay comparable. The full method is on the home page, and a real issue is on the sample page.
